Update: American Airlines flight attendants still owe APFA millions in union dues
Despite the threat of termination, American Airlines flight attendants have only cleared $80,000 of $3 million in dues debt owed to APFA.
The massive bill for late union dues was revealed in March after APFA threatened to send debt collectors to persistent offenders who refused to clear their debts.
A standard provision in airline union contracts makes dues payment mandatory, on penalty of termination.
