Bryce: My previous union left us disappointed and divided
Bryce in ATL so sincerely believed his former union’s campaign promises that he helped recruit other flight attendants to sign A-cards. But the promises did not match reality:
“I got [flight attendants] to sign cards based on the promises that I was told. When the union was voted in and we got our first tentative agreement, a lot of us felt betrayed. We put so much time and energy into this [A]-card drive thinking that it would better our workgroup and make us a better airline, and it didn’t. It divided our workgroup. It made for a hostile work environment. We were still being flown into our off days, our contract was still being violated, we were told to fly now, grieve later.”
Do your research. Speak to your peers with union experience.
Don’t Risk It. Don’t Sign It.
