Brandon: IAM “doesn’t fit the Delta culture"
Brandon is a Salt Lake City-based ramp agent who previously worked in the railroad industry, where he was represented by IAM. He says he can tell, from experience, that IAM would not be good for Delta or its employees: “it doesn’t fit the Delta culture”.
Even with IAM representation at the railroad, he remembers his regional director telling him about the railroad’s record profits, only to follow up with “pink slips” just months later. At Delta, Brandon says there’s proof Delta handles things differently:
“Delta just went through the worst pandemic in history. And Delta had every reason to let us go, and they didn’t. and I think that says it all. Not every job is perfect, but I think Delta does its best to look out for us as employees.”
