Over $1.4 billion in profits paid to Delta employees for 2023
A fundamental part of Delta's culture is that we all share in the success of the airline – the success made possible by Delta people. That is why our profit sharing program – which will pay out over $1.4 billion in 2023 profits to employees – continues to share more than any other U.S. company's program, airline or not.
Here's how we stack up to our peers:
Delta's 2023 profit sharing expense of over $1.4 billion is greater than of our peer airlines combined ($681 million for United and $351 million for American*).
All eligible Delta employees will receive the same 10.40% payout, equal to more than one month's pay.
American and United offer varying payouts per workgroup and most of their employees will receive payouts ranging from about 1%* to 9% depending on the workgroup. At Delta, all workgroups receive the same payout percentage – another way we stand apart from our competitors.
We have now shared over $8.6 billion in profit with employees since 2015, compared to $3.3 billion by United and $1.5 billion by American.
