Reality: This is false. While all employees are now required to be in the approved Delta uniform, employees have several options to choose from, including OEKO-TEX-certified uniform pieces.
Based on feedback from our people, we are proud to now offer a complete collection of uniform pieces that are OEKO-TEX-certified – including many entirely new uniform options. While all employees are now required to be in the approved Delta uniform, employees have several options to choose from, including more than 30 OEKO-TEX-certified uniform pieces. The OEKO-TEX certification is a globally recognized testing standard that certifies textiles that are free of harmful substances. Used by many global companies, this certification process was actually supported by AFA as a solution for similar uniform concerns at Alaska Airlines several years ago.
While all flight attendants are now required to be in a Delta-approved uniform to cohesively represent the Delta brand to our customers, we are continuing to accommodate requests from flight attendants with verified medical restrictions.
