"You need a union to have a mentor at Delta"
Delta flight attendants do not need a union to build mentorship and support among their peers. The truth is that mentorship is ingrained in everything we do at Delta, and it is codified into many programs across the company and in IFS in particular.
Peer mentorship plays a critical role in the success of our people. From day one, new hires are paired with a fellow flight attendant -- their New Hire Mentors -- that guide them through their first year of flying. This is part of our Fly Right program, where peers help peers by providing practical information and development to navigate the job, as well as valuable tips and tricks to acclimate to this new lifestyle that often only a fellow flight attendant can speak to.
People are drawn to Delta because of our culture– it’s why we hear time and again from flight attendants who left union carriers to join Delta. They know that when you add it all up, it’s clear no one is more committed to your success, inside and outside of work, than Delta.
As Amir, an Atlanta-based flight attendant, says: “the spirit at Delta has been here from generation to generation” and she doesn’t want to see that change. Don’t Risk It. Don’t Sign It.
