Rumor Has It: September 2025
Note: “Rumor Has It” is a biweekly newsletter sent to Delta flight attendants about a range of topics from company policies to questions about flight benefits and what is happening around the industry. Delta occasionally addresses questions in Rumor Has It related to AFA’s organizing efforts. For ease of reference, those questions and answers have been included below.

RUMOR: The EIG can’t do anything to improve my pay.
FACT: Not true. The EIG identifies areas of improvement in not only quality of life and work rules but also pay-related items and raises them directly with leaders. Just this year, the EIG helped drive multiple high-impact investments such as increases to your vacation pay, per diem, and crew comp pay (with phase two occurring in Q4), plus work rule improvements like enhancements to AVL and expanding hotel eligibility for CQ. This work by the EIG complements our existing annual pay review process by IFS leaders and our corporate HR team.
In addition, the EIG has been part of our continuous improvement process and responsible for many other things, including: our industry-first boarding premium pay, first to introduce 10-hour rest rule ahead of the industry, FCAP policy, and other premium increases such as Purser, LOD, and enhancements to things like RR and IPY pay.
